Woman Showed Up At Her Own Funeral, Husband Thought A Hit Man He Hired Had Killed Her
In a shocking twist, a woman whose husband hired a hit man to kill her showed up at her scheduled funeral to let him know that she was actually alive!
The incident started when the woman and her husband had taken a trip from Melbourne, Austrailia to Burundi to attend her stepmother’s funeral. Depressed over her stepmother’s death, Rukundo stayed in bed for hours until her husband suggested that she go outside to get some fresh air.
That’s when an armed man pulled out a gun on her. The man instructed Rukundo not to make any noise and took her to an isolated building where he tied her to a chair. The gunman then asked her what she had done to make her husband want her dead.
Shocked by the man’s question, Rukundo thought the man had made a mistake and had her confused with someone else, but she soon found out that her husband had hired the man to kill her.
The gunman who knew Rukundo’s brother then told her that it was against his beliefs to kill women and he released her just two days later, giving her a cell phone with recordings of conversations he had had with her husband about the planned murder as well as receipts from the money he was paid to kill her.
The man instructed her to inform other women about what her husband had done to her.
“We just want you to go back, to tell other stupid women like you what happened,” he told her.
Rukundo contacted her pastor after she was released and he assisted her in traveling back to Melbourne. By then, her husband had started planning her memorial service. Little did Rukundo’s husband know that she was actually still alive.
Rukundo arrived at the service and confronted her husband who confessed to hiring the hit man. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison for incitement to murder.
